I haven't heard any comments about AAPP in Chicago. Sacket, did you and Jack get arrested again? If not, how was the seminar?

I did hear there was an arrest at the seminar. Did anybody see it? What kind of dope tries to steal money at a police function and then pulls a knife? I've got to hear the details on this one.

Yep, what I was told by those there was some idiot came cruising down to the basement (I'm guessing tipped off by someone in the hotel) and was walking around "brousing" at the stuff then tried to palm some cash out of the donation bowl set up for a deceased examiner from DEA (I think)(and I also apologize for not remembering his name) but, who was a coordinator for the seminar and the money was going to help the kids for college. Weeeelllll dum@ss there gets confronted and tries to deny it, then wants to give it back and some guys (AAPP members) in the lobby area hold him down until they can get handcuffs, arrest him and turn him over to Chicago PD. They said he tried to pull a knife from his pocket but someone saw it and they stopped that too. I would hate to be him trying to boost his name in jail by saying he was trying to steal at a cop convention...

For the record, I was NOT arrested at "this" seminar. Jack, on the other hand, I can not speak for....

Jim

As for the seminar, I thought it was great. Very well organized, generally informative and smoothly operated!
